  • As we celebrate Easter, it is important to remember the reason for this day. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, bore the sins of the world and laid down his life so that we could have a relationship with God. On the third day, the tomb was empty and it remains empty today because Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father. We are redeemed by the shedding of his blood, and I am so thankful that the Lord called me, loved me, and saved me. Today marks 24 years since the day the Lord called me into His ministry. I was a newly-born Christian of two years, sitting at the back of an old Baptist Church on Easter Sunday, listening to the pastor and enjoying the service. Little did I know that God had a plan for me. You see, I come from a long line of preachers and pastors who have devoted their lives to serving the Lord. However, I had never thought of myself as a preacher. All I wanted was to be a member of the church and live my life. But God had a different plan and He called me to serve Him in a way that I never expected. My life has been a rollercoaster ride. I have experienced both highs and lows, from reaching the highest peaks to being at the lowest valleys. I have had moments of great joy as well as moments of tremendous heartache. I’ve been protected, I’ve been directed, I’ve been corrected. I didn’t always stick with Him but he always stuck with me. I am grateful for my family and friends who have been a constant source of support. However, I have also experienced situations where everything was taken away from me. But through it all, God was with me, guiding me every step of the way. There were moments when I thought my ministry was over the world had beaten me down, and I wanted to give up. But God had a different plan for me. As I sit here today, I can reflect and say that I wish I could have done things differently. I wish I could have been there more for my friends and family and shown them more love than I did. However, the past is the past, and there's nothing I can do to change it. I truly believe that I had to go through the journey that brought me here today. I also believe that God used everything that happened to me for His glory, and for that, I a
